Twinly

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Twinly AI lets you create an AI version of yourself (your "twin") that other people can chat with. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Face photo and face scan

When you scan your face or pick a photo, one photo is sent to Google Gemini only to describe how to draw your cartoon avatar (skin tone, hair, glasses and similar). The photo is not stored by us and is discarded after the avatar is created. During the scan, your phone checks on the device that you turn your head, smile and blink. Those camera frames never leave your phone and no face geometry or biometric template is stored or shared. Scanning is optional: you can design your avatar yourself instead.

How we use data

To run the app: generate your twin's replies and voice, remember your twin and the people it talks to, keep your subscription active, send the notifications you turned on, keep the community safe, and answer support requests. Messages, voice audio and the avatar photo are processed by Google Gemini to produce responses. We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.

Who can see what

Your twin is visible only to people you share its link with, or to everyone in Discover if you turn that on. People chatting with your twin see its replies, not your private facts. Service providers: Google (Gemini AI, Firebase sign-in and notifications, Cloud hosting), Neon (database) and RevenueCat (subscriptions).

Retention

We keep your data while your account exists. Deleting your account removes your account, twin, chats and memories permanently. Share-link click records used to open a twin after you install the app are kept for at most two hours.

Your choices

Children

Twinly AI is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
